Quel est le problème que permet de résoudre le projet ?
52% of people on our planet lack access to essential health services (World Bank, World Health Organization, 2018).
reah52 addresses the critical issue of healthcare inequity in rural and underserved communities, where access to essential health services and products is severely limited. Many residents in these areas face significant barriers, including:
- Lack of Infrastructure: Limited availability of clinics, hospitals, and healthcare professionals in remote regions.
- High Costs: Out-of-pocket expenses for medicines, diagnostics, and treatments push millions into poverty annually.
- Digital and Logistical Gaps: Inadequate connectivity and supply chains hinder the delivery of healthcare services and products.
- Health System Limitations: Overburdened and centralized healthcare systems often fail to address the needs of remote populations.
- Gender Inequality: Women, who often shoulder the responsibility for family health, face systemic barriers to accessing care and decision-making opportunities.
By leveraging digital health technology, public-private partnerships, and a community-driven approach, reach52 provides scalable, sustainable solutions to bridge these gaps. The initiative equips Community Health Workers with tools and training to deliver health services, connects communities with affordable health products through its Access Portfolio, and fosters data-driven decision-making to improve health outcomes and resource allocation.

reach52 is a global health innovator, improving access and quality of care for underserved communities across LMICs in Asia and Africa. Our social business model facilitates community-based interventions delivered through digitally-equipped health care workers equipped with reach52’s offline-first mHealth platform. These activities are primarily funded through revenues from reach52’s portfolio of low-cost generic ‘access’ medicines.
Each year, reach52’s impact work improves the lives of 6M+ beneficiaries;, while our access medicines are distributed through 70,000 pharmacies outside of major urban centres, purchased by 3+ bottom-of-the-pyramid health seekers.
