In 2023, a number of lawsuits were brought against companies such as Meta, Microsoft and OpenAI. The latter were accused of misusing users’ personal data and failing to respect the intellectual property of data on the web. These disputes raised crucial questions about the use of data available on the Internet by artificial intelligence (AI).
How can we ensure that AI is ethical and responsible, within a regulatory framework that takes account of the evolving nature of this technology?
