What problem does the initiative address ?
Improve diagnostics and therefore treatment of patients with haematological malignancies.
Detailed description of the initiative
The software i-Path is used to send images of haematological malignancies via the internet, as part of a telepathology network or five French-speaking countries in Sub-Saharan Africa (Mali, Cameroon, Senegal, DRC, and Benin). A number of opinions come back which lead to diagnosis. More than 200 cases have been processed.
What is the proposed solution added value ?
Quicker and more accurate diagnoses in line with WHO criteria.
