LeDocta.com
Practical medical information and medical e-consultancy
Project start date : 30/10/2016
Last updated : 16/03/2022
Beneficiary country : Cameroon
What problem does the initiative address ?
The absence of social security in French-speaking Africa forces patients to make choices based on finances. In practice, this leads them to ask many critical questions, such as, “Based on this symptom, where should I go? and Will getting this treated ruin us financially?” Furthermore, when leaving the hospital, patients do not always understand everything the doctor has explained. This platform allows us to raise awareness, educate, advise and, most importantly, provide guidance, serving as a compass so that the patient can enjoy better healthcare.
Detailed description of the initiative

About the sponsor
LeDocta
LeDocta is a business that was created to help democratise medical information and provide medical advice with the objective of improving the doctor-patient relationship. On a continent where access to caregivers is limited and consultations are often quite short, we want to raise awareness, educate and advise, because we believe that, when it comes to health, information is the first medicine to take.
